Through this campaign, Mills Oakley aims not only to raise essential funds but also to increase awareness of the healthcare challenges faced by families in the bush. Every dollar donated plays a vital role in improving access to critical services for country kids.

About Royal Far West
Thursday 25th SepRoyal Far West (RFW) is an Australian children’s charity dedicated to improving the health and wellbeing of country children. In December 2024 RFW celebrated 100 years of service - throughout our history our mission has remained unchanged. Our bold ambition is to ensure every country child has access to the services they need to support their early development and enrich their lives.
RFW is a specialist child development service providing vital supports to improve the health and wellbeing of children in rural and remote areas. Last year RFW supported over 24,000 children, parents/carers, educators and health professionals across four states (NSW, QLD, VIC & WA), in over 500 schools and preschools in 364 communities. Throughout our 100-year history, Royal Far West’s ambition has remained unchanged: ensuring every country child has access to the services they need to support their early development and enrich their lives.
RFW offers multidisciplinary developmental, mental health and disability support services for country children up to the age of 12, to help them reach their full potential. These services are delivered at our Centre for Country Kids in Manly, via virtual care and in-community.
Our team of over 130 clinicians, including paediatricians, psychologists, speech pathologists, occupational therapists, social workers, psychiatrists, nurses and orthoptists takes a unique wrap-around approach, helping to build the capacity of those around the children, including parents, carers, educators, health professionals and the broader community. We work in partnership with early childhood centres, schools and other providers to improve outcomes for country children.
As leaders in the field, we harness our knowledge, expertise and relationships to give voice to the needs of country children and to advocate for equitable access to services and outcomes.
